When asked which of the commandments was the greatest, Jesus replied, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.” We gather at KCC to express that love for God in meaningful and engaging worship. We were designed to worship! Our goal as the worship arts team is to bring people to a place to have intimate fellowship with God – to lead those who are part of our community at KCC to understand the joy of meaningful worship, and to ignite a passion for the presence of God. Worship services at KCC have blended styles. Through practical teaching, a diverse music program, and utilization of the creative arts, we embrace the contemporary, while honoring the traditional.
The Worship Arts Team has several sub-teams that make worship happen each week.
- Instrumental: If you play an instrument there are several opportunities to share your talents with KCC!
- Handbells: We have the bells, you come ring!
- Vocal: Praise Team singers and soloists.
- Choir: No auditions, but a weekly commitment to rehearsals and worship.
- Drama: If you like to act, read or write dramas, this is a
great place to get involved! - Tech Team: Sound, lights, media — experience a plus, but will train!
- Altar Design: Persons who have creative decorating ideas to visually support the worship experience.
- Greeters/Ushers: Welcome members and guests as they enter the church and help with worship services (communion, offering, etc.).
